The Fourth Annual Willow Manor Ball

Yes, the 24 hour extravaganza is finally here. Before I link in with Mr. Linky's Magical Widget I need to prep my site for "some" intrepid visitors.
My chariot for the evening, a 1968 Chevrolet Impala SS convertible, with a four speed manual transmission, and a 396 V-8 engine.
My date for the evening, the lovely Cate Blanchett.

My formal attire will be this smashing kilt outfit.

This will be my tartan.

More later as the party experience deepens.

  4. Scots wha hae..... Tess says she is crazy for men in kilts but I think it's the wooly socks.... she
has this fetish... last week she was seen dancing in her wooly socks on the manor countertops!!! Two years ago we set up a tent with a wooden floor behind the manor and were doing Scottish reels. Her Majesty, Chas. and Camilla stopped by for a jig or two. It was a hoot!!

  7. Gosh, I am only checking in here recently, and isn't it lovely to have visitors. My co-host here, Lane Savant, might join in too. The tartan is Innes, Jackie, as is the kilt pin. I will pluck one blond hair for you, Jeffrey. And of course, Isabel, since Tess ignores my request for a dance, I would be delighted to take a spin out there with you! So the gown is coral and not peach? Shows what kind of a fashion sense I have.

  8. Dinosaur Hand is wearing sequins, but he admires your tartan from afar...wonders if you have a spare swath laying around anywhere?

  9. I do, Tom, brought a whole bolt of it. Got it out in the trunk of the Impala. DH is welcome to few yards, of course.

  12. Wow, what a car and such a powerful hum. Cate was in her element, lovely as always, as you rode up in that powerful beastie and popped out ready for a jig and a twirl - party on!

  14. Definitely coral... does anyone wear peach anymore? LOL You seem to be quite the life of the party and not much misses your eyes. I will have to hop over to Willow Manor's blog and see all the gossipy "stuff". And I adore that car, and since this is a cyber event I am going to imagine it with the top down and Cate's hair flying all about (and of course, arriving with every hair perfectly in place.
